I have a Volvo 270 leg with a GM350 5.7l on a 23 foot Reinell.
When trolling after quite some time the leg will pop out of gear at idle (the leg, not at the control box end). Most of the time it will not go back into gear unless to start to rev the motor a bit and then it will clunk into gear. Some of the times it will reengage if you throw it into reserve then back into forward however, not all of the time. Have not been having any issues with high rpm or with reserve.
Any ideas where to start? Unfortunately the boat is moored full time.
