I am looking for anyone who can help really. I have a 14 foot kennedy kraft im looking to restore. Of course the gelcoat on the hull is caulky and faded so thats were id like to start. Im wanting to just repaint it and not have a gelcoat sprayed just for cost reasons really but not sure what I should use. Do I need to just use hull paint all over or tape off a water line and lay some bottom paint as well? The boat will be trailered most of time so I dont see the need for bottom paint but im not sure hull paint will hold up under water. Please help.
