does LC on gearcase mean counter rotation?

I have twin 250hp 2001 motors. lx250turz and sx250turz. I believe the lx250turz is the counter rotation but the sx250turz has LC stamped on the lower.. Does this make sense or could someone have screwed up when doing LU service. If it is swapped can it be ran like this or do the lowers have to be swapped? one more dumb question. Is the LU the only thing that makes a motor a counter rotation? meaning is the lx and sx the same except for the LU that comes on it from the factory. Thanks in advance

The counter will have a L stamped on
the very back of the lower unit.
Not sure about the LC ?
The boat can perform Different spinning
the props in, or out.
You have got to run the CR prop
on the CR lower.

It seems like someone swapped lower units. I just was wondering if the motors will perform the same with the lowers and the props swapped? How will a standard rotation motor perform with a cr lower and a cr motor with a standard rotation lower?

I have seen lower units swapped before
with no noticeable effects.
I was told there were swapped trying
to get rid of a porpoise problem.

Thanks big flop,
I was just wondering if I can bolt them on or if I should swap lowers. It will be kind of wierd bolting an lx on the starboard and an sx on the port side.
