motor swap question

i have a 1979 johnson-evenrude 35 hp longshaft outboard.

what range of motors (newer motors) will swap using the existing 1979 controls?

Controls aren't that expensive. Might be better to get he engine you want and then get the controls for it.

Plenty of used controls available on Ebay. The big red plug identifies and with or without tilt/trim.
