Several years ago I bought a 1973 Silverline Comoro 16T "project" boat that has a 50hp Johnson outboard. The boat had been sitting for 20+ years at the time of purchase, now 22-23 years. The lower unit was off when I purchased it. The impeller and electronic shift unit look new to me. My question arises upon trying to get everything back together, I have read everywhere about the "green and blue" wires that lead to the engine. There are 2 wires hanging to where the lower unit attaches and it is black, one has a white strip and the other doesn't. My problem is the shifter on the LU I have has 3 wires, "Green, Black, and White". Is this going to work at all? If so, please let me know how. Thanks in advance
