swaping transom shields

Hi looking for help yet again.. what does it take to swap a 270/280vp single idle relief transom shield
for a double releif shield. Is it a straight swap?

Shouldn't be a problem at all. The cutout and bolt patterns are identical.

Don S ! Our veterans Post was donated a 94 28' Four Winns Vista running (2) VOLVO/OMC cobra sx V8's with a close water cooling system We were wondering if we can replace the drives with (2 ) Volvo Penta sx Transom Assembly from a 2004 Four Winns Vista , Will i need to cut the Transom of the 94 four winns , This is a photo of the omc's that 94 omc sx's thatwere on the boat,by the way our drives have no water pump.... it's on the engines and driven by them, thanks jim
