have a intermitent nutral safty issue ??on how to adj? or is it replace?

Which switch we talking about, the one in the control box, or the one on the engine?

the problem is usualy sloved by repeated shifter cycling so i was looking at linkage(engine).

You can visually watch the linkage/switch mechanism. It is right below the ECM on the STBD side. If I remember right, it has no adjustment. There is a stainless steel curved shield that covers the switch plunger for the mechanism to ride on....maybe it is bent...
I would put a continuity meter across the switch leads and operate the shift mechanism to see if there is odd behavior of the switch.

The connector that hooks the switch into the harness is under the ECM plastic cover. You could disconnect it there to get the probes in.

EDIT: The connector you are looking for is a two conductor plug/jack with a solid brown wire and a yellow/green stripe wire.

thanks for the input i will not be back to the boat for a week or so.the switch looks like it threadfs in to its bracket and has the stainless cover over it.i was not sure if the threads on the switch were a adjustment point or just a means of instal.the stainless cover is made up of several bends not sue if all are factroy or preaveus service.iwill be checking with a cont.light. thanks again i'll be backto up date after i get back from boat.
