Got a call today while I was getting my boat ready for the water this coming week. A bud had 2 flats on the same side of his trailer. He had 2 new spares mounted last week. He had a jack that worked and a brand new 4 way lug wrench. His problem he said was the lug wrench did not fit the nuts......very strange. I drove to the site of this incident and saw why..... the lug nuts were covered in massive rust. My service truck has a large air compressor, impact wrench and a bunch more. Hammered the socket on and spun the nuts off. I just happened to have a bag of lug nuts that fit and he was back on the road after 30 min.
When my bud bought the boat and trailer, I told him to anti seize the lug nuts (which he did) and that made it a LOT less painful to fight. Now I have to get more lug nuts for my trailer which is why I had some on my truck.
