just wondering, I undertook my novel after finishing 6 childrens books, now ready for the big leagues. Was looking for some words of wisdom... or a buyer for some unfinished works, I need cash or I might drown. I'm already working full time plus about 500 hours overtime but I dont see the light at the end of the tunnel

You need a publishing agent. Without one, the chances of getting in front of any publisher of note, is slim to none.

If you end up owing the publisher, you are dealing with a vanity publisher. That is a publisher that is in business to make money off of you, not the buying public. An agent that gets you into such a deal, isn't a very good agent.

I have penned hundreds of articles over the last 25 years for various magazines around the country, but have never taken on a novel. But based on my experience, you probably want to talk to a literary agent to at least get some advice..

Why don't any of you wannabe authors bother with spelling/grammar check in your posts? ee cummings doesn't need the competition...just say'n.

I did a local history book last year about the towns 471 Civil War Vets 200 pages that took me over 6 months to photograph and research and write.

A friend of my ex-business partner was a writer. We used him all the time to write narrative for the audio/visual shows, and he was excellent. He also wrote music that was put to record by many renowned artists....Martha and the Muffins. Carol Pope and Tony Bennett.
But not one of his many books have been published as of yet......hate to be a downer, sorry.
