I need to put some kind of "protection" in the rear of my boat. Where the battery lives, bilge pump, etc. At first I was going to rhino-line the area. After brainstorming for a few weeks, I came up with using bottom paint. Thoughts???

What are you trying to protect, and what are you trying to protect it from?

Paint is for appearance, and can take moderate abuse, depending on what type of paint. Bottom paint is real soft and will rub off on anything that touches it. It is also poison.
