Does this ring a bell with any of you blokes?
Watched the video, rehearsals, interview and then performance...really good to see normal kids having fun. Great!! (so sick of the Paris's of this world)

(I could send the link if you wish?)

If you'r unsure of my cryptic message, then maybe these words will help.

Want some whiskey in your water
Sugar in your tea
What's all these crazy questions they askin' me
This is the craziest party there could ever be
Don't turn on the lights, 'cause I don't want to see

Mama told me not to come
Mama told me not to come
That ain't the way to have fun, no

Cheers
Phillip

Yep, great band, but a little before my time. Seems like VH1 did a thing on them.

I'm just glad we don't have real 'three dog nights' here in 'Bama.

Joy to the world!!

Jeremiah was a bullfrog
Was a good friend of mine
I never understood a single word he said
But I helped him a-drink his wine
And he always had some mighty fine wine
Singin'...

Joy to the world
All the boys and girls now
Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea
Joy to you and me

Theres one you gotta love.

I was in the 8th grade in 1975, I can deeply relate to all that stuff, especially the hard rock, 1 of my favorites in each year, Pink Floyd ,Van Halen ,Aerosmith man a bunch more we could go on and on, I would have rather been a teenager in the 60's but I did missed the draft so that was a good thing from what I've seen and heard.

Re: 3 dog nites

wow..love the billboard ranking through the years LF..I came alive in 65..
Sooooo at the wonderful age of 14 it was 1979...
Still PLENTY of good older music being played...CCR...ZEP (of course) Rolling Stones..aerosmith..Sabbath..eagles..Bob Segar AND the Silver Bullet Band...Foghat...Uriah Heap...Oh I can go on & on..

But also in 79 music was evolving..The Police brought a "world" vibe and I remember mounting a Hawaiin tualee log to my bass drum by the cow bell to have a 3rd world sound...lol

Van Halen was really REALLY hitting it hard in 79, their debut album was out for a year...doing good for a bunch of guys from Pasadena that I remember seeing party fliers for..geeesh

Honestly...I dont listen to as much of the classic older music anymore..Have to be in a pretty funky mood..

But on the road....I put my Metallica BLACK CD in and let it repeat for however long it takes....9 hours...whatever!

My brother's band opened for Three Dog Night after winning a "Battle of the Bands" contest in the late...hmm... eighties(?). He said they still rocked, though.:D
