Hello everyone,
Im sorry if this seems to be an easy fix for some of you, but i have not done much work on outboards. I let a buddy borrow my boat and he let it run complteely out of gas. I have tried to prime the carbeureter, and it will begin to start until the fuel burns out of the carbeureter. This would lead me to believe that fuel is not making it to the carbeureter. So, I than checked the fuel line leading into the carbeuretur assuming that it would not be getting fuel. Well i was wrong, there is fuel making it to the carb, and if i prime the carb by putting some fuel in it, it fires until it burns that fuel off and than cuts off. I am lost as to what might be causing the problem. Thank you in advance for the help.

Don't blame your buddy. People run their motors completely out of gas all the time. Something else is causing your problem. Can't troubleshoot it from here.
