I have an 8 hp that I am putting new rings and bearings in. The story is that it was run without oil and overheated. It came to me like a used Harley, in a box. Inside , the moptor is very clean. Not many hours on it.
I am in to the crankshaft and I see what are called liners and needles instead of the traditional needle bearing on the connecting rod journals. Does anyone have experience with liners and needles in so far as changing them? They were expensive. I don't want to mess them up.
