I have a 86 Mercury 115 inline 6. The other day I tried to start the motor did not fire. Tested for spark, only firing on #1 & #5. I tried to start it again today and did not get any spark at all. From what I have read possibly the switchboxes are bad but there is no way to check them without a Quicksilver Engine Analyzer. I have had this boat for many years and it has always ran well except for the last day on the lake last season, it stated running eratic, I changed the plugs but there was no differance so i put it down for the winter. Any suggestions?

Forget the analyser, you need a DVA adapter for your multimeter. As it turns out I have designed and easy to build adapter... Click HERE to see what's involved (not very much), then you have the meter you need....
