i poured over the forums and found simular issues that other ppl had like mine-i tried all the solutions that were given for these guys and it didnt work for me.
better description of my problem is,
from a cold start motor runs fine after warming up it bogs down. if you throttle back to about 40 or 50% it clears and smooths up.
motor is an 89 vro 40 #j40tlcec
what i have tried,
had carbs cleaned and adjusted before use this year the vro was replaced with a standard fuel pump
replaced fuel tank bulb and line
replaced fuel filter
replaced plugs
thanks in advance

Re: #j40tlcec 89 vro throttle issue

sounds like it's dropping a cylinder....take an inductive timing light and check each plug wire once the motor is warm and you're trying to go full throttle...if that's ok...spray some fuel mix directly into the carb throat...it should cause it to "choke down"...if it speeds up, you've got a fuel delivery problem at wot....either the main jet is still partially clogged, or your fuel system isn't delivering enough fuel to the carb...lastly, check the head temps...it may be trying to seize from an overheat...best of luck
