2010 50 tohatsu tiller handle

which wire will connect the tach on my new 50? the dealer didn't know as there was no harness to the console on a tiller model. I know the alternator is 4 pole. thanks.

A TLDI tach is more than a 1-wire connection. The 3 indicator lamps are in the harness also. Assuming you have a TLDI tach, you should also get the Factory harness to connect it. Following along with your Factory service manual, the the harness is plug-and-play.

I don't have a tldi tach and was only going to use a regular tach but need to know which is the tach wire. I already have indicator lights on the tiller! Can you tell me the color of the wire I need to connect? Thanks .

So, is your instrument an alternator tach, or an ignition tach?

You are asking for trouble by using an aftermarket tach on this model engine.
