I am looking to bring a shine back to my little speed boat. I'm not looking for a show-room finish, just something that looks good from 5ft. It's a $1000 boat, I don't want to sink another thousand into the finish if I can put a band aid on it to last me for another couple of years.

I have tried wet sanding with 1,500-2,000 then wheeling it out, but the factory clear was sanded off way before I got to it.

I know this is not the proper way to "Fix" the finish, but if I can make it look better, I'll be happy.

Does anybody have any experience with this stuff? Any tricks?

Thanks,
Chad.

Re: Has anyone tried Future Floor Finish

Greetings! I have not personally used future but if you check out friscoboater's thread in the same section I remember reading that it didn't seem to work for him. Just search "future" in his thread.

78 GT-150,
friscoboater did try it and didn't like it. Another option, Read vegasphotoman's thread. I think the material he used was poli glow and he swears by it. His boat looks great.
Good luck
Bob

Re: Has anyone tried Future Floor Finish

We used to use Future on our RF-4C Phantoms back in the 70s and 80s. Made the dull SEA camo paint look great! Once we were TDY up to Elmendorf and a guy asked what we put on them. I told him it was Future floor polish. He accused me of lying. He thought it was some kind of stealth coating and I just wouldn't talk about it.

Anyway, keep in mind that Future is water based. It might work great above the waterline and where water can't pool on it. It will cloud up where it's in constant contact with water.
