Hi, I have a blue band Merc 4HP outboard, serial number 8065329(I think it's a 77 model) which is leaking fuel from carb. I have pulled the carb off, blown out lines, etc; the needle and seat looks OK. Now I have a little spring which has a pin that goes thru it to anchor it to the base and I need to know which way the spring goes back on. It has a short angled piece on one end and a longer angled piece on the other.
