Guys shes fixed! Impeller was stuck on gear shaft

But now she is running lovely :D i was wondering if there is a way that i can "tune" the engine to maybe make it 3hp just out of household tools..Ive tuned her to what i think is the Optimum and was wondering if there is a way to give her more go! Also i have been running her on 100:1 mix and read in my manual that omc decided 4 years later to run them on 50:1 so i am going to do this tommorow. I also havnt changed the gearoil for 3 years
So i have ordered some Star Brite High Vis Gear lube which should be coming soon. Do i just drain the old oil and poor this one in?
Any help or suggestions welcome :p

It would help if you posted what engine this is, yr , model number etc.

Usually you pump the new oil from the lower fill hole til it comes out the top.
Don't remove the philip screw under any circumstance, thats the shift fork retainer.

Sometimes ( everytime) those drain screws are very tight and only an impact screwdriver will pop em loose when tapped with a hammer, cost about $20 but very usefull for stubborn screws.

Inspect oil for water, use NEW seals on screws or you WILL get water in the new oil.

I don't think I have every seen one with only one plug. Theres not a similar looking plug about 3-4" above the drain?

Looks like it only has the one screw then, never seen that.
Just make sure theres a seal on it and its TIGHT.
Then gas up and release the hounds.!

A lot of pre-1950 motors have only one.

Use 50:1 (100:1 was a mistake).
