The motor was running fine since I bought the used boat and motor 3 months ago.. 2 weeks ago, It wouldnt start one morning after running great all the time and specially the day before.. We limped back on the kicker till we got into calm waters..changed the plugs and checked fuel filter out..then looked at terminal block and noticed the 2 red wires were off of the screw( it had been eaten with corrosion) . We taped them back together and vroom, fired up and got home..This morning, 2 weeks later , got to boat ramp, fired up as usual..shut er down, then fired her up again no problem..then just as we were leaving she died..wouldnt fire again..so took her out and went home.Seemed to me it was electrical, BUT when i took fuel filter apart, seem like some water was in there, not lots but some..With filter off I pumped the primer bulb to try to get rid of any water.I also took off the plugs on the bottom of the carbs(3) no excess water..Put it back together and it seemed to run a little longer than previously, but then started up and started dying faster and faster until nothing again.. I just bought my gas last night. so its not old gas at all..Am taking it to the shop, but at 80 bucks an hour,Im a little leary of the mechanics..any help out there..I checked the spark and theres spark.. Not a prounounced blue , but a blue spark nonethe less.. any help would be appreciated thanks
