I have a 1989 johnson 110 that runs perfect, idles perfect, cranks great but has one problem. The problem happens when i first go to get on it when leaving the no wake zones. I will give it 3/4 or so throttle and she will build revs then start bogging down. The bog will remain constant for about 4 or 5 seconds then pick up perfectly. The boat will be about half plain when this is happening. It will not replicate this problem all day from there on out. But it has done it again if I leave the engine tilted up for an hour or so banked somewhere. I have replaced the bulb to try to see if that was the problem, no joy. I figure this is something simple, so any help would be great...

sounds like clogging mid or high speed jets.

does checking these jets require removing the carbs and full rebuild, or maybe just pull the tops? are the jets accesible outside the carb?? thanks for your help..
