Mercury 1996 xr6 150 not starting

The extra green wire usually goes under the same screw as the #2 coil wire. It really doesn't make any difference which coil wire it goes under. It's the signal that the engine is running to the oil alert module.

It would be best to get a maintainance manual. It has the wiring diagrams in it.

There's a lot of reasons for no fire. An obvious one here would be bad grounds. They are critical.
