I have a 40hp 2001 model 1041412YD that I am going to replace the lower unit on.
What year and hp range will fit this engine?
Will a lower unit from a 2003 4stroke work? Same part number on the housing but I would have to swap th shift rod. And the drive shaft has a different part number but will the whole unit fit?
