what pole on tach?

i have 73 135hp johnson that i am installing a tach on. what pole should i put it on?

Bob, you are probably best starting your own thread in the evinrude forum. I know all 2 cycle "rudes" with 70 hp or larger are set to 6p. So I will guess your is not set to 6p. You can always set the tach to every setting and then see which is close to what your idle rpm is supposed to be... not the best approach but possible.

well I posted I do have a "rude" larger than 70 hp!!!!

I understand when you have a really different question you should open a new thread...but this is almost the exact same question!!! all those with the answer for the op's question probably know the answer to mine
