I was having problems with my engine starting so i starte eliminating things. I took off the starter and had it checked and that is fine. So i re-installed and hooked it up to my truck and jumped it with cables directly fromt he truck to the starter and it turned over, then I tried with just the key to the boat and it just clicked. So, i took a screwdriver to the two terminals onthe solenoid and touched thema nd it turned over. Does everyone agree or think that i need to replace the solenoid and that is my problem? Thanks.

jumper the small yellow wire on the solenoid to the red battery cable. If the starter turns, the solenoid is fine, and the wiring from the keyswitch is bad or the keyswitch is bad.
