My trailer hubs are pretty rusty. I have access to sandblast or spray the exterior with muriatic acid or traditional sand paper and wire wheel them. What method is recomended?

Should I prime them after and paint with rustoleum or use a rubberized undercoating spray?

I would think the bedliner or rubberized undercoating will hide any small spots of rust and you would not be able to see the cancer spreading like you would using a thinner coat of paint. I don't want to spend a million on por-15, are there any other alternatives.

Take the tires off first so you can do a thorough job without damaging the tires.
Then either wire brush/sand or sandblast them. Use rustoleum or epoxy primer and top coat.
Don't sue under body spray. It will hide new rust as it develops.

That said , another great product is called POR-15. You prime the (still rusted) metal then apply this thick topcoat. We use it in the military quite a bit.
