Bolts for starter bracket into head

This is a really dumb question but i thought i would ask it anyways.
I lost the bolts that hold the bottom of the bracket for the starter that bolts onto the head. So i used different ones. Im wondering if they are too long if this will cause any damage inside the head. Im not sure how long the holes are for the bolts. hope this made sense. haha.

Use a nail or a piece of wire to measure where they bottom out. Compare to bolt you are using.

thats a good idea! i should have done that.

the bolts are already in though. haha. im just wondering if its sticking into the head now or soemthing, which i know is ridiculous. but its piece of mind knowing that cant happen.

No worries, those would be blind holes. If the bolt was too long it would have bottomed out before tightening against the bracket.
