:confused:i just bought a 1994 four winns turbo jet boat with the engine already apart it seems i need a new piston, and rings while i'm at it. how do i know what size engine it is for sure, i was told it was a 115 horse but i'd like to know for sure so i can get the right parts. also where would i find the engine model number there seems to be lots of numbers everywhere?

there should be a plate on your transom bracket (port side) with serial and model #s. if that is gone look for a plug about the size of a quater it looks like a freeze plug it should be stamped on it (model #).

Your engine doesn't have a transom bracket.

You should have the core (freeze) plug though with the info. on it.
