I just bought a used boat that has a Johnson115. i dont know much about boats, so...what type of gas do I put in this? Is it a mixture of gas and oil? If so, how do I know how much oil to gas?

Re: Johnson115 troubles

Hi welcome to the Iboat group. We will all strive to help you but need just a bit more information. Best start with the engine number. That way you will get the correct information for your year and model. I ask for that because engines run from 20 to 1 gas to oil to as much as 100 to 1. Some engines have oil injection and need no oil in the gas. Makes knowing what you have very important.

Welcome aboard.
Assuming it is a 2 stroke, mix is 50:1 use TCW3 rated oil.87 octane regular gas.50:1 is 2.6 ozs per gallon. 1pt (16 0zs) per 6 gallons. If you are that green you should take a safe boating course.
