Sailboat with IMRON bottom paint-HELP!!??

I bought a Pearson daysailer identical to one I already own, except the new one is painted top to bottom w/IMRON. I moor my boat in LI Sound and know that the IMRON is not an antifouling paint---but can I sand/prime and repaint w/anti-fouling paint over the IMRON? Has anyone done this or know anyone who has? thanks.

Yea,you can paint it..all Imron is, is a polyurethane based paint,go to Dupont,look thru there spec's,then look at Interlux's (US Paint) web site..it will tell you exactly what type of primers/paint to use.
