vro pump clicking

I have a 70 hp evin with a bypassed vro pump. when it is running there is a clicking cound coming from the pump is this normal?

do you still have the vaccum line from the crankcase hooked up to the VRO pump even though it is bypassed?

Just bought the boat they unplugged the oil line and caped it where the fuel line plugs onto the motor. That looks like it; I unplugged the 3 wire harness from the unit for the buzzer. All other lines are still hooked up
