'99 Merc OptiMax 135hp Starter Amps?

My father in law has a nice 99 SeaRay Sundeck 19' boat with this motor and he is looking to test his battery since it is a couple years old and he is fanatical about maintenance. He asked me if I could find out the amp draw of this starter so he can do an accurate loss test. Anybody know?

Don't know exactly, Jim, but it is certainly enough for load testing. Figure several hundred amps at stall.

Thanks for the input, I just spoke with him, he says 140amp was the usual value for 6cyl cars, he is going with 120. I am testing my 3.0L Mercruiser tonite, most likely buying a battery immediately following!
