1985 mercrusier 170/470 i need to know how to connect the interrupt switch on the control arm to the engine and how does it work because i don't know if i have it in correctly i took it out over 2 years ago and forgot to mark it i have a tester on it and the wire stays disconected in the neutral position and if you move it forward or reverse it is connected i use a tester that makes a sound when the wire is connected together please help i have heard the switch cuts off the engine for a slight moment to go into gear so it does grind on the gears
