35 hp chrysler idles and runs great but seems to only go about half throttle

good starting motor,and idles perfect ,but throttle at full forward seems like there should be more. on another thread i read that these motors were a work horse and not good at gettin up and go,any insight on a adjustment or something i can make.thanks

Well, you have given a subjective description with no facts. We reall need to know the size of the boat and the speed you are getting. For example, the same engine will give significantly different speeds on a 14-16 foot tin boat versus a 16-17 foot fiberglass runabout.
You may be getting all that engine can deliver.

RPM would also be nice but a lot of engines that size don't have tachs.

the boat is a chrysler 14' fiber with 35 horse chrysler.
boat and motor are origonal...

we also took out are 1962 40 horse lark,and the thing screamed,there has to be something i am missing on the chrysler,only a 5 horse difference

Does the boat ever get up to plain? From the video, it looks like it does not get up to plain but is almost there.
