I went back to a little boat repair shop yesterday and looked around some. The guy running it seems to know a lot about the older mercurys and he has boxes of stuff and old engine covers hanging from the rafters. Seems his Father-in-law who started the shop back in the early 50s passed away and left him the business. He had in stock carb kits and a timing belt and a shift lever seal all new but been on the shelf dusty for many years. This guy does not have alot of shop equipment, not even a welder but hes got a lot of parts..Hes located 25 east of my town and I will give anyone his number if you send me a PM......He also sells on ebay. Im not working for him but just want to pass along this in the interest of the bring them back to life hobby
