Yesterday I took my magneto from my 60 merc 300 to a guy that only works on the older mercurys. He helped me set the points and replaced a small little clip that holds the rotor in place and then checked it out. IT WORKS. then found me 2 new carbs kits and a fuel pump kit and took time and showed me how to set the foot on in the right gear.....Took over a hour of his time .total bill 42 bucks.I gave him 50 and was happy ......Did he ripp me off?
