I just bought a 2008 TRACKER® Pro Team™ 175 TXW with a 2008 Merc 60 4-stroke. I am currently using the prop that came on the boat, which is aluminum. The boat runs about 35 at the moment and wanting it to hit around 40. Are there any prop options that I have that can help me achive this?

Actually what I should have asked is; will a prop change get me to 40ish?

I would just like to know; since the STD prop that comes with it is Alum, if I move to a different prop if it would increase my speed from 34-35ish to 40ish.
The boat comes out of the hole quick and easy and I'm wondering if I move to a different prop could I gain another 5ish mph out of it.
It wouldn't both me to lose a little bit of the hole shot since there really isn't one anyway.
I would like to replace the Alum STD prop with a SS one anyways and keep the SD one in the boat incase something happens.

What are your current rpm's at WOT?
Is it fuel injected?
Is it the Big foot model?

Yes generally stainless will improve performance.Actual change will depend
on present prop size and max rpm and speed.
You may want to optimize your present setup first especially vertical height.
An inch increase in height could gain 2 or 3 mph.under ideal conditions.
A stainless prop will usually allow more height.Be sure it pumps water as you increase height.

The Manf suggested WOT is 5500-6000 RPM.

Is it the Big foot model?
No.

Still need present prop size.Generally speaking changing to stainless size for size can lower rpm but increase speed due to the more efficient design.
The experts can make suggestions based on the specs you have supplied.
