I have installed the new impellar with no problem. Question is when puting the drive shaft back up into the engine there is an "O" ring and a plastic bushing. Which goes on the shaft first? The O ring or the plastic bushing.I plan to order a manual but am waiting to determine which parts I will need first. the engine is a 60 merc 300,thanks

there should be a rubber ring that slips down over the driveshaft and sits on the water pump. This keeps sand out of the water pump. Then there is a rubber bushing that fits over the spines on the end of the shaft and goes up into the crank shaft. This keeps sludge out of the splines. This is true on my 60 merc.............Jerry
