Re: 18 horse sea horse
Post the model number so you get the right advice on fuel mix, ie. pre-1964 was 24:1 or 16:1 (early 50's and on back), after 64 the recommendation was 50:1. The 18 hp seahorses were two-tone holiday bronze and white/creme, solid red and then green from 58 on back, went to white in 59 and on into the 60's. Color scheme should put you in the ballpark initially, but need model number for correct id/year. If it doesn't have a fuel pump...guessing it doesn't cause you ask about making a homemade pressure tank (nix on that), you can convert it to a modern one-line tank for about $75. You can find decent two-line pressure tanks for about the same or less. Check the aomci site as advised, they have a free classifieds section...also see them regularly on schmebay.
