Re: arrow outboard

I think we need more info. Pictures would be best but a detailed description
would help.A best guess at age.Indian motor cycles built a Silver Arrow in the 30s Is this air cooled ?all metal?plastic parts, remote tank? etc.Clinton built a 4 hp.air cooled outboard
in 72-73 that may have been supplied to a private label motor..

Re: arrow outboard

Arrow outboards made in the 60's were Canadian, out of Montreal, Quebec. Don't know of a parts source, but someone else will probably post with a source.

Re: arrow outboard

Another thought after a night's sleep...is the name spelled Arrow or Aero? Two different manufacturers. Peter Hunn's book, The Old Outboard Book, can provide some info on both and many others.

Re: arrow outboard

Found out a little bit more. It seems that the motor on my Triton is a tecumseh motor. A small engines repair guy I know showed me the exact carburetor I have in a tecumseh catelog. Just throwing that in there in case it helps anyone.

Re: arrow outboard

I have the same motor, it had been stored in an attic for 30+ years, with the plug cleaned, some fresh fuel, it started and runs great, but the impeller has perished. Did you mange to find one ? JR

Diiiia has not been on here in 4 years, dan. Please be attentive to the age of a thread.

You will get much more and better replies if you simply start a new thread for your new topic, rather than hijacking a 4 year old thread on a different topic.
