I just acquired a aluminum stick steer boat with a 2 stroke 40 horse merc on the back. My question is the engine when the stick is all the way back turns the motor all the way to the right but with the stick all the way forward the motor will only go to the center position. Is this normal? Is this because the boat has a natural tendancy to steer a certain way? If this isnt normal is there a way to fix it? I was gonna take it out for the first time tomorrow(Sunday) so any quick responses would be very helpful!
