seal on top of trim unit

I have a bad seal at the top of one on the trim cylinders. From the parts diagram it looks like the top portion unscrews and I would just need to replace that part and the seals and o rings. Anybody done this repair?

    2005 yamaha hpdi problem

I have twin 2005 HPDI 200 HP engines. Both engines have started stuttering momentarily when I come over a wave. Never both at one time, but each does it sometime. It last about a second then engines come up to full rpm. Runs perfect on flat seas. Change water separators and found a couple...

speed/distance guage on 2005 HPDI Yamaha

I have twin 2005 HPDI Yamahas on the boat. Gauge that tells the boat speed and distance traveled is not registering this year. Worked fine last year. Reads zeros. I checked the opening on the motor to make sure the hole was open and it is. Still no reason. Where is the problem likely to be? Thanks.

    winterizing

What is the correct winterization process for a 2005 200 HPDI? The mechanic where I bought it said to just spray the cylinders with a light oil. I know about fuel stabilizers and all the other stuff, but not sure what to do with the powerhead. Thanks.

    indexing spark plugs

I want to replace the spark plugs in my 2005 200 HP Yamaha engines. I have heard something about indexing the spark plugs. Does that apply to these engines? Also does anybody know how to gap the new type plugs. They have two prongs coming in to the center electrode. Thanks.

    gapping spark plugs

I have a pair of 200 HP HPDI Yamahas that have the new type spark plug with two electrodes coming into the center pin. Do you just gap these plugs using a gauge inbetween each electrode and the center pin?

    Gapping new style spark plugs

Have a pair of 2005 200HPDI engines with the dual electrode plugs. Do you gap the distance from the electrode to the center pin, same as you would as if it were a single electrode. Thanks!
