    Well i just drug home another project boat and after tearing into it i see many flaws in the way is was made. It is a 1980 amf crestliner fish hawk. Does any one out there ever own one or have any info on these boats? Here is a pic of her when i first got it home.

    Hey luke i used the stuff from lowes in my boat and yes it is pricey but it does seem to be good stuff. For the walls i cut two pieces 16 x 24 or so i think and they fit in there real good. When it comes time to cut it DONT USE THE HEAT knife i got one and a putty knife sharpen on both sides...

    I was just reading my owners manual for my 1964 28 hp evinrude and it says " use only one spring on cable pulley steering system do not use two" can some one explain i thought i was to use two witch i have done and seen many set up this way.. ???

    Shift rod seal replacment

    I have a 1964 28 hp evinrude can some one tell me the best way to remove the brass bushing that holds the o ring in ? do you have to replace that bushing or can you take it out and reuse it and how to you get it out with out damage??? Thanks for all advise on this

    I have a 1964 28 hp Evinrude model 28402m that i just got, It starts and runs fine but when i give it gas in foward it wants to jump out of gear, reverse seems to be fine.. the part manual shows two different part numbers for forward and reverse gear so i take it i can not flip them like i have...

    OK so far i have 3 sheets of 4 foot by 8 foot 2 inch thick foam in the boat and will get a total of 4 when i do the front and under the seats. I cut little blocks of foam and glued it to the bigger piece with 5200 to keep drainage good. here are a few pics

    Hey JB i took your advice and went back and looked at the pics in the previous post and found this pic of when i started on the boat and you can see one of the pulleys on the rear of the cable, Do you think it might have been mounted on on of the side braces for the transom ?

    Pitting inside of hull Help !

    Here is what i am looking at after wire brushing the hull to remove PO silicone i find pitting in the back half of the boat not to bad but to to good either how or can i address this ? Glov it and primer ? Paint ?
