    Starter - Solenoid Question

Hi Guys, check it out and the problem is the bendix/starter drive assembly (bit that engages the flywheel). It seems there is some plastic in there and I think cross wiring (with jumper cables) has heated it and made it brittle. The starter motor is in good shape, it has larger magnets than I've...

    Starter - Solenoid Question

Hi Folks, I have a Chrysler 75HP that has been going well. However, my boys wanted to go out on the weekend and the battery was flat. They went to jump it with another battery but cross wired the jumper leads - +ve to -ve. The starter now whirrs and engages the fly wheel but doesn't turn it...

Chrysler 1974 120HP Control Cable Issue

Hi Folks, I have just put a 120HP on my boat, adjusted carbs as per Franks sticky video and have a bit of a problem. The cables work fine in gear - the throttle opens up to WOT. However, in neutral I have a lot of resistance and only minimal increase in RPM eg 2-300. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi, The gearbox on my '74 HP crunched the other day - don't know extent of damage but it is not working and the oil has a lot of metal in it. I can get a later model one piece unit off a 85HP Chrysler and wondering if it will fit. If it does, will the water pump/impeller be the same? Thanks,

Adding Power from one Chrysler to another Chrysler

Hi Guys, I have an older 90HP Chrysler that I got for parts. I have a good 75HP with only 150 fresh water hours on it but no power trim. I want to take the power trim from the 90HP and put it on the 75HP. It looks like a reasonably easy swap but I've learned that most things that look easy...

    Water pump housing pitted

Hi folks, I'm a newbie to boating and have a 1974 75HP & 1976 90Hp and both have pitted water pump housings. I'm wondering a couple of things; a) does a bit of pitting affect performance - can I still use them (I've been told it shortens the life of the impeller). b) is there anything I can...
