does anyone have a good detailed link that will show me how to remove and replace the impeller on this model engine. also is this a job that should be done by a pro tech or could a fairly skilled guy like myself do this. anything i should be aware of doing this myself. thanks
i have a 93 Astro 18.5 foot long with a mercury XR6 150hp engine. what i need to know is what size prop would i need? i dont know what pitch prop i have on it now but it does fine just eat up pretty bad and would like to purchase a new one. what size do i need?

)1)have a 89 model 200xp,,i cranked it with the key but when i turn the key off it will not kill the engine. anyway to kill the engine without useing the key/switch or what could be my problem?

i am wanting to disconnect the oil injection on my 90 model 200XP and mix manual, i do not like the idea of the oil injection and plan to disconnect it. is this a job i can do or does it need to be done by a marine mechanic? does anyone have a link that will show me how to do it? your help is...
on all my hot wires on my batteries have these little black box looking things on them. what are they and do i have to have them on the wires? they look really coroaded and if i dont have to have them i will take them off and put the wires directly on the batteries. thanks
i have a late 80's model evinrude 200xp,,how much compression should i have on each of the 6 cyl.?? whats a low compression number i should be worried about?? i know a new motor should have high compression but how about a used motor??
i just bought a boat with a evinrude 200XP VRO, the boat has been sitting for about 3 years without being cranked. i put new batteries in it today and drained and cleaned the fuel tank. what should i do before i try cranking the engine? i dont want to damage anything due to my lack of knowledge...
