Need any advice on getting the Bravo 3 bearing carrier off my leg. I have the tool to remove it but it won't budge even with a breaker bar. Tried a using a MAPP gas torch and still doesn't budge.
Maybe I am heating the wrong place or wrong amount of time. Any advice appreciated!!!!

Didn't get any response from the Prop forum so I thought maybe this forum is more appropriate since Bravo 3 is commonly used.

A little confused about the alignment process in relation to how tight the rear motor mount bolts should be. I know the service manual says 45 lb ft but do you torque them down right at that from the start before adjusting the front motor mounts during alignment? If not, how tight should they be...

I just noticed that if I push my Bravo 3 gimbal ring upwards, I can move it up about 1/8 of an inch. There seems to be a bigger gap between the gimbal ring and the transom assembly than before so if I shoot water at that spot using a water hose, I can see water coming in on the motor box side...
Tried to install new u-joint bellows on the Bravo 3 today and majorly failed. I positioned the bellows where it says top exactly at 12 oclock so the flat spot on the left hand side is at 9oclock. Problem with that is that the water hose got in the way and I could not tell if I got the bellows...
What's the current thoughts on hinge pin torque and loctite type (red vs. blue) for Bravo 3? I saw an old service manual that says ~145 ft lbs+red which seems pretty high to me.

So I'm trying to avoid the potential nightmare of trying to remove the bell housing. Is it possible to change the ujoint and shift bellows with just the drive off and leaving the bell housing on?
I have already removed the shift bellows but only got as far as unclamping the ujoint bellows...

I've seen weatherstripping adhesive and bellows adhesive both being mentioned to hold down the o-ring seals before putting the drive back on the bell housing.
Which one is better or is there something else cleaner to use later in removal?

Just wondering the proper movement of the shift cable outer casing relative to the front of the shift boot (small end) as you move the motor trim up and down. Is it supposed to stay in place with the metal clamp or cable tie? If it is supposed to stay in place, would there be anything wrong...
