I am adding a set of speakers and a cd player however the left speaker hole is filled with foam. The right side i can see but the left is exploding with foam. Anyone have any idea if that tube is buried in that foam somewhere? or any ideas for mounting the speakers elsewhere in the boat.
Im sure you guys can help me out on this one. I have an 18 foot CC that at WOT is in the proper range 5000-6000 on an 05 Yam 115. Top speed it about 36-39 depending on the amount of fuel, and people on board. With a loaded boat and a full tank of gas I can get to 5200-5300rpm with 5 people...
I just wanted to post for future information that the Motorguide wireless trolling motor will fit under the bow rail on 186cc boats. I have a 2005 and there is about .5 inch clearance between the collar and the rail. You do have to remove the cleat on the bow to do this.
Has anyone had them, and how do you like it. In my application I have no space on the transom and I like having the rail on the front, plus I dont want to cut or remove the rail. Plus I do like that the boat remains from the show room floor ex. no modifications to anything. I am looking at the...
I am going to get some trim tabs, but dont know which brand or style to get. 18.5 Key West CC. I was looking at Bennets sport tabs M-120. What do you guys think? Any suggestions?
I was doing some calculating, and this shows my slip to be 0.008310. This is in percent right? Or should I move the decimel over 2. But even then it would be less than 1% slip.

I have a question that you guys might be able to help me with. I am going to get a bow trolling motor, and I have a high bow rail. Well, the solution that I have found it to just take the rail off. My question is there are 3 screws at each post and seems to be sealed with silicone sealant...
My Yam F115 has a 15p prop on it. The recommended pitch from yamaha is 17. My redline is 6000 WOT is 5800 so I am good there. My hole shot is slow this may be reason #2 any thoughts on this?
I have a small crack in my deck near the back that in my op is only as deep as the coating. It is only about as wide as a fingernail. What do you guys suggest doing about it, and what to use for a repair.
My trailer is a magic tilt trailer with a key west 186 on it. My main question is weather or not the trailer is proper fit for the boat. I will post some pictures this afternoon. There are two bunks in the back, and two under the bow. It is a single axle trailer.
My throttle will not stay put when running. Say I am running at 5500 rpm, I let go of the throttle it backs itself back down to about 4000. Is there a way to tighten it so i can put both hands on the wheel.
Thanks in advance for any help. Everyone on this entire forum has been helpful.
I am not sure if this is the same post as before but Key West was ranked 4th very impressive better than Boston Whaler.

My new garmin 172C shuts off when starting the motor. I am thinking it is the battery causing the problem, because when starting the voltmeter goes to at least 10.8. If I have to crank the motor for more than about 1-2 seconds it happens. Does this sound like a battery problem(dead cell)or...
