Runs very well, but water is leaking profusely from what I think is the exhaust cover plate (port side of head). One bolt is pretty rusty, has a drip, but more water coming from lower part of seal, it seems.

Hi all,
I installed my new throttle cable, but the black plastic adjustment barrel is too fat to fit into the cable holder that is attached to the engine.
The cable holding bracket is two "U" shaped metal tabs, one of which opens up and the other down, that you sort of rotate the old cable...
I did this test cold, with the other spark plug removed and compression relief disabled... 110 psi and 125psi.
Is this right at the borderline of worrisome? From what I've read, these are decent #s, but a difference this size can be a bad sign.

I'm not sure if my year is 6 Volts or 12 Volts. 1957 # 25930
I've read here that it is ok to use the 12V battery in short bursts, and the starter should be fine. But I have the push-button choke solenoid, too, and don't know whether using 12v might fry that.

It has faded a great deal. I assume I should use aluminum restoration instructions found elsewhere here to just polish it up... and that in doing so, the anodized layer will be scrubbed off.
