My brother discovered he had a cracked block on his Vortec 4.3 engine so it needs to be replaced. Can we use a 4.3 block from a Chevy 2-10 or 1500 to rebuild or is there something special about the marine engine block that an automotive Vortec doesn't have?
I have an '81 Evanrude 15 H.P. engine,I took off the flywheel and the plate with the magneto on it so I could change a worn throttle control cam.I think I may have thrown the whole works out of sync.How do I check it and get every thing back to where it should be befor I reinstall the flywheel?
:(I have a 1981 evinrude 15 hp motor that has sat for a year,now when I tried to start it ,it runs, but when I attempt to put it in gear it dies.What would cause this? Also, even when out of gear it doesn't want to rev up when given gas. Help!
