Many people have these motors with "NO SPARK" problem sitting in garages for the years. The motors are cheap on garage sales but parts to fix are NLA and pricy.
This way to make motor running I have to use over decade.

The signal for tachometer is simple half wave rectified sinusoidal 0 - +12v.
For the rectifier - regulator you have mention you should connect tah wire thru single diode to the coil. I have done this on my Evi 70 1976. Any question PM me but will be out for few days.

The motor was sitting decades in garage, some parts are missing.
Decide to make her run, I like FORCE design.
After first exam so far:
Carburetors are clean and shiny, spark plugs are brand new, ignition coil are good...
I want to add T/T to my 1976 70 hp Evinrude. Locally have for sale complete midsection of 1995 Model #E115TLEOR with T/T. Will it fit???

EZ to fix this damage. I have had same damage on my Mc Kenzie, use small bottle jack to push bottom down where is damage and lightly mallet it in outside. Work really slow, aluminum is really flexible metall. Don't use heat

I got Evi 3012 with badly rusted cylinders and piston rings. Have spent lot of days looking in internet for pistons and rings OS 0.02 but nothing came out. Is it any che to replace pistons and rings from small motors like trimmers or blowers???
